Entrepreneurs
play an important role
in God’s plan.
I believe that when God drops the entrepreneurial spirit in someone’s heart, He chooses the bravest, most courageous and loving people … EVER.
He gives us the ability to create wealth and through this, He makes it possible for people to hear about Jesus and experience love only Jesus can provide.
I’m a bit biased though because I feel my calling in life is to Christian Entrepreneurs.
I love that when God builds an entrepreneur, he fashions this big ball of wonderful all packed into one person. Deuteronomy 8:17-18 states,
“You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”
He gives us witty inventions and creative ideas. Literally, inside our brain is the ability to produce wealth. It says it right there in scripture.
With that wealth, God can do the miraculous. He could have just created a system where spreading the gospel and helping His children was automatic.
Instead, He created entrepreneurs.
God gave you the power to create wealth. Your tithes AND OFFERINGS support the church in ways others are unable.
Think about that for a minute.
There are people who will NEVER get the joy of writing a check to:
- help send people on missions trips
- pay off the church mortgage
- buy vehicles
- cover payroll during the summer months when tithing is the lowest or
- simply give to the general fund to make sure their Pastor isn’t stressed over finances. (By the way, just because he or she doesn’t say so, they’re probably stressed over finances from time to time.)
How do I know all of this detail about church giving? After we sold our business, I was the Finance Manager at my church for 4 years. The most consistent giving, largest gifts and special offerings almost always came from entrepreneurs. They have the means. This is not an accident. I believe this is God’s plan for us.
There are statistics everywhere stating that church giving is down…..like way DOWN. (This article states it is down 50% since 1990.) https://www.cdfcapital.org/tithing-generosity/
I believe God has created entrepreneurs to fill this gap.
As a Christian Entrepreneur, you serve God in a unique way. You get to see things most people don’t. Your efforts as a business owner places you in positions of influence as well as gives you exposure to influencers.
You are special!!!
God chose you to be an entrepreneur.
Your role is important!!
