Whom the son sets free, is free indeed….
John 8:36 TPT
So if the son sets you free from sin, then become a true son and be unquestionably free!
Unquestionably free
Unquestionably free
Unquestionably free
This phrase creates images in my mind of being light and effervescent. To be unquestionably free looks like a life which doesn’t doubt or dispute the truth of the Word.
To me, being unquestionably free looks a lot like blind trust.
I’m drawn to people who blindly trust God’s promises. They seem to embody Matthew 11:30 – For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Our salvation brings a lifted weight and if we still carry that weight, why? The image I see is a big weight being pulled around behind us like a ball and chain. Does that weight occur because we carry heavy questions? And are those questions regarding our salvation….are we questioning God? Why do we do this?
I think those who are light and effervescent have the answer. Their minds are freed up from any questions and they simply run with Christ and His plan for their lives. Although they make it look easy, my guess is that they have taken Galations 5:1 to heart…..
“Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.”
They always cherish this “unquestionably free” truth and stubbornly refuse to believe anything else! I can’t imagine that this is easy but I truly believe that it’s worth it. It’s worth it for our family, our clients and most of all ourselves.
So my challenge (and prayer) for you today, my friends, is this….
Be stubborn!! Fight for that place in your heart and life that we all received upon our salvation….that place where we are unquestionably free. I pray for the Holy Spirit to remind you throughout the day, every single time anything other than unquestionable freedom infiltrates your mind. I pray for the Truth of who God is in your life and business to be held up in plain sight so you focus on it and cherish it. That as you focus on the freedom gifted to us from Jesus, you see nothing else. I pray all of this in Jesus Name, Amen
Very Humbly Yours,
Jennifer Edwards
